King Cone Herbal Ear Cones (aka ear candles) are developed by an Aerospace Engineer/Massage Therapist. With a technical background in aerodynamics and an understanding of the human body, our designer brings the benefits of modern technology and ancient healing wisdom together to provide you with a truly superior Ear Cone. King Cone Ear Cones are made with all natural materials. These materials consist of 100% natural cotton or hemp strips, beeswax, soy wax and a therapeutic blend of essentials oils. Our cotton cones are 11.5 inches, hemp are 16 inches in length with a 1 inch diameter at the top of the cone, with a one degree taper. Our tip is a funnel like taper to just under a 1/4th of an inch. For your comfort, the tip of the ear cone is double dipped in bee's wax. This provides a soft gentle feeling when held to your ear canal, providing a better fit and seal for the vacuum process.
Also now available is our New Hemp Herbal Ear Cone (aka Ear Candle). This new candle is made with a lighter and cleaner burning Hemp material. A treatment with Hemp Candles will provide your client with an even deeper cleanse and a lighter feel than with our Cotton Cones.
Below is a picture of one of our Cotton Herbal cones with it's dimensions specified. As you can see, there are two segments on the Cotton Cone. The Hemp Cones are 16 inches in length (adding another full segment to the the cone) with the other dimensions remaining the same.
History:
It is said by some that Ear coning (aka ear candling) originated in ancient civilizations of Atlantis, Lemuria, Mu, India, China, Tibet, Egypt, and Native American cultures thousands of years ago. All of these cultures utilized ear coning in healing, and in spiritual purification. These ancient cultures used papyrus reeds, corn stalks, clay tubes with double helixes carved into them, and in more recent times, rolled newspaper dipped in wax.
Today, in our, modern western world the popularity of this treatment is rapidly increasing.
How does it work?
The cone works by lighting the large end of the cone, then placing the small end of the cone to the opening of the ear canal, creating a seal. Vapors of herbal smoke travel into the ear canal, warming the pores in the ear canal, softening the ear wax and creating an energetic vacuum effect reaching from the outer ear canal, to the inner ear canal, through to the sinuses, Eustachian tube to the throat. In addition to a very relaxed state of being the treatment physically it feels as if there is relief of pressure on the nerves in the ear canal. From the practice of Accupuncture we know the ear has hundreds of points that lead to every point in the body. This treatment assists the body to bring itself back into it's natural state of balance.
